The London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) has announced the opening of its Technology Center of Excellence in Hyderabad, India, a key step in the company’s global expansion efforts. The facility aims to spearhead the development of new products and services by prioritizing low-latency technology development and leveraging the local startup ecosystem.

Irfan Hussain, Chief Information Officer, LSEG, said:

He will play an important role in enabling us to deliver the best-in-class products our customers demand and become a leading provider of engineering solutions in the global financial ecosystem. We will leverage the expertise of engineers in the region and aim to hire more than 1000 engineers and professionals by the end of 2025.”

LSEG’s new center is located in Hyderabad’s HITEC city and currently houses 300 professionals in various roles. It supports the Group’s business departments and enterprise technology, leveraging the partnership with Microsoft. It will focus on low-latency technology, acting as an innovation hub in collaboration with local startups, with a particular focus on Generative AI and Data Sciences. The center will leverage the city’s strong technical education offerings and its focus on Cloud Security, DevOps and ERP, aligning with LSEG’s goals.

The center is a Build-Operate-Transfer partnership with Tata Consulting Services (TCS) to attract and nurture talent. TCS brings to the table a wide range of engineering training, fast-to-market logistics and strong infrastructure.
