The UK’s Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) is warning that an unauthorized entity is misusing the name of crypto company Coinbase.
Fraudsters copy the details (name, address, logo, etc.) of FCA authorized companies to try to convince people that their company is genuine. These fraudulent entities are known as clones. They have nothing to do with the authorized companies and use their details to lure victims more easily.
