GCEX Group has announced that Ignacio Corral, former Senior Partner at FCA, has joined the digital prime brokerage as a dedicated UK Compliance Officer. The firm said his appointment reflects the growth of GCEX’s UK-based activities, which are regulated by the FCA.
Ignacio Corral, a qualified lawyer, joins GCEX from Rede Partners LLP where he was Director of Legal & Compliance. Before that, he was Senior Compliance Manager at easyMoney. He spent over five years as a Senior Associate at the FCA, where he worked in various departments including Crypto Assets Authorization, Investment Banking Supervision and International.
Ignacio joins the company in a period of expansion, both in terms of business and team development. Another new addition to the team is Chartered Accountant, Helen Man, who has joined GCEX as Financial Controller. With previous experience from Stifel, Zodia Custody and TP ICAP, Helen will manage day-to-day finance across multiple GCEX Group entities including the UK, Denmark and Dubai.
