Payment service provider Worldline has signed an agreement with Volksbank to issue payment cards in Italy.

Volksbank, originally from South Tyrol, is one of the leading banks in the Northeast, with more than 160 branches in the region and just under 300,000 customers.

Worldline acts as a single interface for the entire card issuance value chain, from setup and production to fraud detection, cardholder portal and customer service. This new agreement enables Volksbank to provide its customers with distinctive services in the current market and to rely on additional innovative tailor-made products to be developed in cooperation with Worldline.

Worldline creates customized solutions for its clients that combine the experience of an international payments leader with the ability to tailor these solutions to the specific needs of the counterparty. In the case of Volksbank, teams from different countries worked together to provide state-of-the-art solutions (for example, fraud prevention systems or multilingual platforms) under coordination from Italy.
