Fiserv, Inc. (NYSE: FI), a global provider of payment technology and financial services solutions, announced the appointment of Michael P. Lyons as Fiserv’s chief executive.

Lyon took the position with the confirmation of Frank Bisignano, FisERV’s previous chief executive, as commissioner of the Social Security Service. Lyon also participates in the FisERV Board of Directors.

At the same time, Doyle R. Simons, previously the independent director of Fiserv, has become a non -executive chairman of the Board of Directors.
