
The United Kingdom’s Financial Behavior Authority (FCA) today published data showing the number of new complaint reports received between January and March 2025.
In this quarter (Q1 2025, January to March), FCA received 281 new complaint reports.
For the same period in 2024 the team received 298 reports.
In 2024 Q4 (October -December), FCA received 292 reports.
The majority of reports for the period associated with compliance, followed by capacity capacity and consumer damage.
FCA closed 468 reports of complaint between January and March 2025.
The regulator has received significant action to manage damage to 12 reports (2.6%) – this may include an enforcement action, a qualified person’s report, or restricting the rights of a business or the approval of a person.
FCA has taken action to reduce damage to 192 reports (41%) – this may include a pension or visit to a business, asking a business or asking a business to confirm to comply with the FCA rules.
