FNG has learned that London executive Sergei Riabov has left his place as head of Wealth & Trading at Neobank Revolut.

Sergei Riabov has been with Revolut since 2022, initially as head of the product – wealth and negotiation before being promoted to his current position earlier this year. In Revolut, he oversees the launch of CFDs, Robo-Advisor, the EU and the United Kingdom, ETF and counterparts.

Before joining Revolut, Sergei worked at Russian digital bank Tinkoff, ending up in his tenure at Tinkoff as head of the product.

We had mentioned last year that Revolut is entering EU’s CFDS trading operation with Revolut Invest. Later in 2024, Revolut was approved by the British Financial Authority, the Financial Behavior Authority (FCA) as an investment operation, which will allow it to extend its services from bank and payment services to include shares and CFDs in the United Kingdom.

Sergei published the following note on the social media about his departure from Revolut.

After almost 3 incredible years in Revolut, it’s time to get away.

I am proud of what we have built-a fast, international brokerage business that now helps millions to invest smarter. During this time, we have enlarged our customer base, reservation assets and trading volumes – showing what is possible with a sharp focus and excellent group 🚀

Huge thanks to all who had the opportunity to work together – your energy, talent and ambition made this trip truly special

What will follow? A short break to spend time with my family and recharge. After that, I am open to discuss consulting roles – with newly established businesses and established companies that want to unlock growth and scale their product. If this sounds relevant, I would love to connect.
