UBS announced today that it has reached an agreement with the United States Ministry of Justice (DOJ) to resolve a hereditary issue related to pending obligations under a 2017 Credit Suisse agreement with DOJ for Doj businesses.
On August 1, 2025, Credit Suisse Securities (USA) LLC entered into agreement with DOJ to resolve all Credit Suisse’s pending obligations, according to the 2017 settlement, paying $ 300 million.
With this Agreement, UBS has resolved another of Credit Suisse’s inheritance issues, according to its intention to resolve inheritance issues at a fair and balanced manner and in the interests of all stakeholders.
In the third quarter of 2025, UBS expects to recognize a non -core and legacy credit from the liberation of the possible responsibility determined by the acquisition of Credit Suisse as part of the market distribution process.
