FNG has learned that the leading worldwide FX and CFDS brokerage capital.com is expanding its footprint in South Africa, hiring an experienced executive of the Travis Robson industry as CEO in South Africa.
Based in Johannesburg, Travis Robson was Managing Director of Africa & Middle East for the TRIVE electronic broker (formerly GKFX) before leaving the company last year. Prior to joining Trive in 2022, Travis worked for nine years in the IG Group both in South Africa and the UAE, ending in his term in IG as the highest executive and CEO – United Arab Emirates.
Late last year, Capital.com was reorganized in a regional structure, with a number of regional chief executives being semi-autonomous business units, as the company’s focus was shifted from the United Kingdom and Europe in the Mena region and generally internationally.
