RobinHood Denivatives LLC has received the Nevada Games Committee in court to prevent the regulatory authority from enforcing the law against the company.

The lawsuit began on August 19, 2025 at the Nevada Regional Court.

On March 4, 2025, the Nevada gaming control panel sent Kalshi a ceasefire and decoration letter that threatens to prohibit Kalshi from facilitating any contracts related to sports events in Nevada. The Board of Directors claimed that the laws on games of the Nevada state are governing these transactions.

RobinHood argues that the offer of contracts related to Kalshi’s sports to its clients in Nevada would not violate any state law. However, in the light of the ceasefire and discrimination received by Kalshi since March 14, 2025, Robinhood did not allow Nevada residents to enter seats for sporting contracts.

Kalshi has adopted a different approach, submitting a lawsuit seeking a declaration of declaration and suspension by the Court on the basis of the fact that, as applied in the negotiation of the CFTC contract, the Nevada law is supplied by the Integrated Federal Federation.

Kalshi has gained preliminary relief – the court granted Kalshi’s proposals for a preliminary order, believing that Kalshi has shown the possibility of success in the advantages of his argument that the Nevada law is promoted that it would probably be irreparable without any harm.

Despite these decisions, the Board of Directors continues to threaten to enforce the Nevada preventive law against Robinhood, although the Board is required by the court to do so against Kalshi in relation to the same transactions.

On May 6, 2025, RobinHood met with the Board of Directors and explained that he believed he should be able to offer contracts related to sports events that are negotiating through the exchanging of Kalshi for as long as this court order in Kalshiex remains in place.

At the end of this meeting, board officials said they did not expect to be able to agree to avoid the imposition of Robinhood, even when the Kalshiex mandate is there. They declare that they will come into contact with RobinHood if they finally reached a different conclusion and have not done so to date.

On May 8, 2025, the Board of Directors sent RobinHood a letter from the Las Vegas office, stating that it would believe that RobinHood allows Nevada customers to trade contracts related to sports events being violated by Nevada’s law.

On May 19, 2025, RobinHood met with the Board of Directors again and requested an agreement from the state of Nevada to allow Robinhood at least temporarily offering its customers the same contracts related to sports negotiating in the exchanging of Kalshi. The Board of Directors denied RobinHood’s proposal.

In the light of this court ruling in the Kalshiex case and the Board of Directors’ refusal to reach an agreement with Robinhood to mitigate what the company considers that “the significant continuing economic and reputation harms Robinhood continues to suffer the market”, Robinhood has activated the access of its customers.

As a result, RobinHood is now facing an immediate threat of civil sanctions and criminal prosecution by the Board of Directors, along with the conventional damage to the reputation that would cause any procedure for the enforcement of the Board of Directors.

RobinHood claims that it has no choice but to file a lawsuit to protect its customers and activities.

Robinhood calls on the court to impose defendants to enforce Nevada’s preventive law against RobinHood to facilitate transactions related to conventions related to sporting events.

RobinHood is facing pressure in relation to the conventions of sporting events. In July 2025, three federally recognized Indian tribes, Blue Lake Rancheria, Rancheria Chicken Rancheria of the Indians Me-Wuk, and Picayune Rancheria of Indians Chukchansi filed a lawsuit against Kalshi and Robinhood for illegal sports gaming.

There is a similar treatment brought by Ohio Gambling Recovery LLC against Robinhood. The plaintiff seeks to recover gambling losses.
