The New York Financial Ministry of Financial Services (DFS) has published a consumer alert of Pay-O-Matic.
DFS has confirmed that Payomatic, provider of money redemption and transfer and transfer services, has stopped activities and the department has suspended the company’s licenses. Customers affected can contact Payomatic Customer Service: www.payomatic.com/contact-us.
If you cannot solve your problem with Payomatic, you can file a complaint to the Consumer Aid Unit of the Department.
The Pay-O-Matic site displays the following notice:

We are sorry to inform you that after more than 50 years of service in your communities, all Pay-O-Matic Check Excaling Store sites are closed since September 12, 2025.
