The Committee of Companies and Exchanging Italy (CONSOB) ordered the interpretation of access to 10 unauthorized encryption websites.

Websites affected by orders are:

  • “AWE818” (website
  • “GRT325” (website
  • “Tut551” (website
  • “SFS854” (website
  • “12DEF” (website
  • “Yth937” (website
  • “C7viz” (website

The Authority exercised the powers introduced by MICAR Regulations (EU) 2023/1114 and Legislative Decree No 129 of 5 September 2024) to block the websites providing encryption services to Italian investors without the required licenses.

This brings the total number of sites that prevent Consob to 1,399 from July 2019, when the Authority has taken power to order the exclusion of unauthorized financial intermediaries.

Internet service providers operating in Italy are currently blocking the aforementioned sites. For technical reasons, real blockage can take several days for the application.

Consob attracts investors’ attention to the importance of practicing maximum custody of making fully up -to -date investment decisions, adopting practices of common sense necessary to preserve their savings. These include the previous verification, for sites that offer financial services and cryptographic components, that the operator through which it invests is authorized and, for financial products and cryptographic systems, has been published in the newsletter or the White Bible.
