The Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CYSEC) issued a warning of the misleading and fraudulent emails coming from CYSEC “Officers” in order to export money.
The regulatory authority advises authorized entities and investors to know the dissemination of these false communications and report them immediately.
Indicative signs of fake communications include:
1. Using CYSEC’s name by signing or signing a non -existent person who is falsely presented as a CYSEC employee.
2. It was falsely presented as official CYSEC communications and bid as a service to the recipient:
- The alleged liberalization of funds through a “recognition key” after paying and/or,
- The alleged acquisition of a “negotiation certificate” for legalizing transactions or markets in the markets, with cost consequences.
3. Request the advance payment of large sums of money, on the pretext of compliance with the “regulatory claims”.
Cysc reiterates that it never requests or accept payments or remuneration from individual investors for issuing “certificates” or “liberalization of funds”.
Cysec does not allow third parties to perform such actions on its behalf.
