International banking group Standard Chartered Bank is joining forces with Clearstream, Deutsche Börse Group’s post-trade services provider, to pilot Clearstream’s Vestima Digital solution for private market capital distribution.
This initiative builds on the existing partnership between Standard Chartered and Clearstream and reflects a shared commitment to innovation in capital servicing.
Vestima Digital addresses the operational complexity of private market capital distribution by digitizing key processes such as capital raising, capital call management and asset servicing, while enabling automated data exchange with backend systems. This direct processing (STP) improves visibility, traceability and operational efficiency across the capital distribution chain – from general partners to end investors.
Standard Chartered clients will gain access to a wide range of funds through Clearstream, supporting the wider distribution of private market products. A new account model enables multiple investor-level allocations to be managed in a single Clearstream custodian account, simplifying operational workflows. Vestima Digital also provides regular reports, asset servicing data and anonymised investor information to help Standard Chartered better understand investor activity.
Fully integrated with Clearstream’s Vestima funds platform and featuring new FundsDLT technology, Vestima Digital combines established market connectivity with the flexibility of next-generation digital infrastructure. It presents a collaborative solution designed to address the real problems of private market capital distribution – digitizing manual processes to enhance efficiency and reduce operational risk, thereby improving investor service and enabling scalable growth.
