Airwallex, a worldwide payments and the economic platform for modern businesses, has completed a funding of the F 300 million funding with $ 6.2 billion.

The round includes $ 150 million in secondary shares.

The new investment, which brings Airwallex’s total funding to more than $ 1.2 billion, includes Peg, DST Global, Lone Pine Capital, Blackbird, Airtree, SalesForce Ventures and many top pension funds in Australia. Visa Ventures also participates as a strategic investor.

Airwallex will use the additional capital to expand its global infrastructure to new markets and continue to refine and escalate the software that enables businesses to operate anywhere, anytime.

“The global financial system was not built for today’s border economy,” said Jack Zhang, co -founder and CEO of Airwallex. “Many businesses are held by Legacy Infrastructure which is slow, expensive and fragmented in Airwallex, we are building a new foundation for the global economy – one that is fast, seamless and built for scale.
