UK investment platform AJ Bell plc (LON:AJB) today announced that Julie Chakraverty has been appointed to its Board as an independent non-executive director with effect from 1 June 2024.

Ms. Chakraverty, an experienced non-executive director, brings more than 30 years of financial services and technology leadership experience to the Board. She spent most of her early career at UBS where she held many global leadership roles.

She is also the founder of Rungway Limited, an employee engagement platform that enables people to seek and share advice at work. She is currently a non-executive director and Chair of the Ethics and Sustainability Committee of Starling Bank and a senior independent director and chair of the cyber security committee of NCC Group plc.

Ms Chakraverty previously served on the boards of Santander UK plc, Aberdeen Asset Management and Standard Life Aberdeen plc (now Abrdn plc), Amlin plc (now Mitsui Amlin) and Spirit Pub Company plc (now Greene King).
