
Director of Ascent Investment and Coaching Pty Ltd, Michael Dunjey of Hampton in Victoria, appeared in Perth court court on May 9, 2025, charged with 33 criminal offenses.
Mr. Dunjey is accused of:
- 23 fraudulent measurements from acquiring a benefit in accordance with Article 409 of the Criminal Code 1913 (WA), compared to more than $ 4 million in investment funds
- 5 Measurements of failure to act in good faith in accordance with Article 184 of the 2001 Companies Act, on the use of just $ 2.5 million, and
- 5 Measurements of Book Consignment on a company in accordance with Article 1307 of the 2001 Companies Act on the annual returns of the company.
Charges are followed by an Australian capital market and investment survey (ASIC) that arises from concerns that PTY LTD’s training and training of PTY LTD may have raised funds through false statements made to investors and are inappropriate for investors.
Criminal charges follow ASIC’s civil action in the Federal Court in 2022 to finish the ascent and the non -registered managed investment program.
The issue has been postponed on July 4, 2025.
The maximum penalty for any crime of fraud under the WA Criminal Code is seven years in prison or 10 years if the deceased person is 60 years of age or older.
The maximum sentence for each offense of Department 184 is 15 years in prison. and 5 years in prison for each category of Article 1307 of the Law on Companies.
