The Australian Securities and Exchange Commission (ASIC) has secured travel restriction orders from the Federal Court against Gold Coast, director of Global Investment Marketing Pty Ltd (GIM), Darren Geddes.

The commands prevent Mr Geddes from leaving or trying to leave Australia by 16 March 2026. These commands were submitted at ASIC’s request and did not oppose Mr Geddes.

ASIC has requested the orders as part of his research on GIM and its current and former directors for their roles in the alleged abuse of funds deposited by customers for investment purposes.

The regulator asked for orders on concerns that Mr Geddes could leave the country and not be available to help ASIC with research.
