
Barclays has announced the appointment of Gijs Borghouts as Chief Internal Auditor and permanent member of the Group Executive Committee, subject to regulatory approval.
Gijs Borghouts is currently Chief Internal Auditor at Barclays Bank PLC (BBPLC). He joined the bank in 2021, having previously served as senior auditors at NatWest Group, ABN AMRO and Van der Valk Hotels.
He will succeed Lindsay O’Reilly, who has led the Internal Audit function since 2019.

Gijs Borghouts will take up the role from 1 May, subject to regulatory approval.
