Electronic trading major IG Group Holdings plc (LON:IGG) has today confirmed the appointment of Breon Corcoran as Chief Executive Officer.
The company first announced the appointment in December 2023. Today, IG said the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) had approved the appointment.
Breon Corcoran has led teams in businesses in Europe, Australia and the US.
He held the position of CEO at Zepz from 2018 to 2022. Prior to Zepz, he was CEO at Paddy Power Betfair, where he led the merger of Betfair and Paddy Power in 2016.
Mr. Corcoran’s career began as Vice President of Equity Derivatives Trading at JP Morgan. He has also worked at Bankers Trust.
He has been Chairman of the Auction Technology Group since 2020.
Breon Corcoran holds a BA in Mathematics from Trinity College Dublin and an MBA from INSEAD.
