Derivatives and Capital market Cboe Global Markets Network, Inc. It announced today the appointment of two industry veterans to drive its derivatives and data businesses.

Rob Hocking returns as an executive vice president, a world leader of the derivatives, and Brian McElligott participates as a senior vice president, a world leader of the CBOE Data Vantage. Hocking will succeed Cathy Clay who departs from the company for a new opportunity.

Hocking brings more than 25 years of experience in the world derivative markets and a powerful history of building new, innovative marketable products. In its new role, Hocking will oversee CBOE’s Global Oinvatives business, which includes the markets of future fulfillment and options in the US and Europe, as well as a series of privately owned products negotiating worldwide, including S&P 500 options and franchises Vix. He returns to the CBOE having previously served as a senior vice president, a world leader of product innovation.

Before joining the CBOE in 2018, he was a worldwide head of Drw Trading shares transaction and took roles in Goldman Sachs as Vice President of Trading Index and Hull Trading in Index derivatives.

During his career, he spent 18 years as a member of CBOE options and a trading license holder.

McElligott brings over 25 years of experience in data and detailed data. Its new role will oversee market data and CBOE access services, global indicators, risk and market analyzes and execution solutions. Leadership’s previous roles include 14 years in the CME Group where he was Managing Director, World Head of Information, Analysis and Market Data.

He also served as Managing Director, head of the Tradeweb data strategy and the world leader of the data strategy and corporate relationships at Morningstar.

Both Hocking and McElligott will be based in Chicago at the CBOE World Headquarters and start their new roles on October 1, 2025. Hocking will report in Donohue and participate in the CBOE executive team. McElligott will report Prashant Bhatia, Executive Vice -President, head of business strategy and corporate development.
