Since April 2026, the CME Group plans to replace network equipment at the end of the life cycle that supports connected connectivity to CME Globex hubs.

CME GLOBEX market data for reported derivatives exceed 1Gbps, increasing the risk of losing packages, performance worries and quality degradation in 1Gbps connections.

Impacts of 1Gbps derivative links

  • Multiple Distribution Data: Effectively in March 2026, 1Gbps services will no longer support MDP 3 Multicast market data.
  • Existing 1Gbps customers with purchase data: Customers with 1Gbps service are currently listening to multi -distribution data are encouraged to upgrade connections with 10Gbps as soon as possible.
  • Existing Customers 1Gbps without purchase data: Unicast services such as ilink, drop copy, STP, MQ and others will continue to be supported in 1Gbps connections. Customers with 1Gbps connectivity that do not receive purchase data will migrate their services to new equipment.
  • New 1Gbps connections: Effectively, new connections for 1Gbps service will not support access to reported derivative data market data.

When CME Globex connectivity upgrades are released in 2026, the CME team will no longer support copper handles.
