Cyprus-based executive Themis Christou has announced that he has stepped down as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) of brand company The Trading Pit. His departure comes on the heels of The Trading Pit’s co-founder Christoph Radecker and Thomas Heyden, who served as managing director of the firm’s Liechtenstein Office, leaving the company.
Themis Christou joined The Trading Pit in mid-2022 after serving as Group Head Of Marketing with FX/CFD broker M4Markets, as exclusively reported at the time here on FNG. Themis was one of the few senior Tickmill employees who left in late 2020 / early 2021 to help establish M4Markets as a new online brokerage brand. His joining The Trading Pit was a return, with The Trading Pit coming out of Tickmill co-founder Illimar Mattus’ Pinorena Capital.
Themis posted the following note on social media today about his departure from The Trading Pit.
After a challenging yet enlightening two years with The Trading Pit, I am pleased to announce that I am moving in a new direction.
From the ground up, my team and I built the brand from the ground up, putting in endless hours and weekends to lay the foundation and nurture it to the stature it is today.
Although our quiet diligence and sacrifices often remained behind the scenes, the results spoke for themselves. I express my deepest gratitude to my remarkable team for their unwavering support and outstanding commitment.
Looking ahead, I am excited to embark on an exciting new venture that promises to not only leverage my skills but also set new standards in the industry. The details of this next chapter, which I will share soon, are poised to have a major impact.
Stay tuned for what’s next!
