Online broker eToro presents its latest innovation: the Onfido Selfie Motion biometric authentication feature.
The Onfido Selfie Motion feature aims to make it easy to update your phone number.
In case you are unable to log in due to sending 2FA to a phone number you no longer have access to, you will now have the option to undergo Onfido Selfie Motion, a self-service biometric authentication process.
How does it work?

When the verification code is sent, you will be given the option to change your phone number on the next screen.

Click “Let’s get started” to start the process.

You will be redirected to a selfie matching process where you will upload a proof of identity document containing a photo of you, with a selfie gesture.

Once the biometric authentication successfully matches and passes the eligibility checks, you will receive an email with a security code.

Enter the security code to proceed with changing your phone number.
After completing the process, you will be able to update your phone to the new one without any problems.
Withdrawal requests will be restricted for 7 days. However, you can still submit withdrawal requests, which will be subject to manual review. If you prefer, you can open a support ticket for help.
