Exclusive FNG… Leading crypto exchange Kraken has appointed London-based Lana Sinelnikova as Chief Compliance Officer for its UK entity, FNG has learned. He will also serve as Kraken UK’s SMF 16 officer.
Lana Sinelnikova initially joined Kraken in late 2022 as Head of Compliance and Risk after serving in a similar role for a year and a half at banking app services company Revolut. From 2018-2021 Lana served as Chief Compliance Officer at institutional FX services firm TradeTech Alpha, later known as Finalto.
FNG readers will recall that Lana Sinelnikova won an unfair dismissal claim against Retail FX and CFDs broker ActivTrades at a UK employment tribunal hearing in 2020, as also reported exclusively at the time here on FNG. Lana served as Chief Compliance Officer and Director of Compliance and AML at ActivTrades from 2011-2018.
