Exclusive FNG… FNG has learned that OANDA’s longtime senior market analyst, Craig Erlam, has left the company.
We understand that Mr. Erlam’s departure is part of an overall series of cost-cutting moves at OANDA.
Craig Erlam, who is based in London, has held his role as OANDA’s chief analyst for more than nine years. In a way, Craig was the “face” of the company to the investment public, appearing frequently as a guest commentator on business and investment news shows on Bloomberg, CNBC, BBC, Sky News and FOX Business, as well as on videos from the OANDA YouTube Channel. His views have also appeared online and in print publications, including the Financial Times, Reuters, Yahoo and MSN.
Prior to joining OANDA in 2015, Craig was an analyst for three years at Alpari UK.
We had also recently reported on the departure of OANDA’s Singapore-based head of emerging markets, Sam Eder, who left to start a new trader-focused site called Marketmates.
