Exclusive FNG… FNG has learned that there has been a change at the top of Cyprus-based FX and CFDs broker TopFX, with the company hiring Victor Zachariadis as the new Global CEO of TopFX, replacing Alex Katsaros.
Victor Zachariadis was EU Managing Director (Cyprus) for Australian based Retail FX and CFDs broker Pepperstone from 2019-2022. He then joined cryptocurrency trading platform provider Alpaca to lead Alpaca’s Cyprus business, as was also exclusively reported at the time here on FNG. Victor has also previously worked at Libertex Group, FxPro and TFI Markets.
More recently, Victor founded the CFD broker solutions provider BKR44. He also served for the last year as a Director on the board of Go Markets Cyprus.
Alex Katsaros has been the public face of TopFX for over a decade, working at TopFX for 11 years and as the company’s CEO since 2016. During his tenure, TopFX has transformed from an institutional broker and a ‘B2B’ company, providing liquidity and White Label Brokerage Solutions to retail FX brokers, primarily based on Spotware’s cTrader platform, to become a full-fledged retail broker. The TopFX brokerage brand is offered through both CySEC-licensed TopFX Ltd and the offshore (Seychelles-based) TopFX Global Ltd.
We understand that Alex Katsaros will continue in a non-executive role for TopFX, as an advisor to the company’s major shareholder.
