The United Kingdom’s Financial Behavior Authority (FCA) confirmed that on July 21, 2025, Argetex LLP entered the Special Administration in accordance with the insolvency regulations of payments and electronic money 2021.

This follows the company’s decision to stop the negotiation on July 17, 2025. Daniel Conway, Anthony Wright and David Hudson of FRP Advisory Trading Limited have been appointed as joint expert managers.

ARGENTEX is authorized by FCA to provide e -money and payment services. It is also authorized to provide wealth management services.

Common Special Managers are responsible for managing customers’ claims against the business and returns where possible. Common Special Managers are required to report their proposals to creditors within 8 weeks of their appointment.

Keep in mind that FCA is the Argetex LLP regulator. Other group entities such as Argendex Group PLC, Argetex Capital Limited and Argetex Forexal Limited are not regulated by FCA.

The Financial Services Compensation Plan (FSCS) applies only to certain types of activity. This does not include electronic money and payment services.

At this stage, FSCS is working with joint specialized managers to determine whether the protection of FSCS may exist for eligible customers in relation to the money of the customers owned by Argetex as part of wealth management services. This project continues.
