The UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has issued a warning against a clone company misusing the details of Forex and CFD broker Admiral Markets.

Clone companies are entities set up by fraudsters. They copy the details (name, logo, address, etc.) of companies authorized by regulatory authorities. This is how they try to convince people that their company is genuine. In fact, clone companies have nothing to do with authorized businesses.

If you deal with the clone, you will not be able to access the Financial Ombudsman Service if you have a complaint.

You also won’t be protected by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) if things go wrong. This means you are unlikely to get your money back if the company goes out of business.
