
The United Kingdom’s Financial Behavior Authority (FCA) has banned Detelina Subeva from the UK Financial Services industry.
Ms Subeva is the third former Credit Suisse official who is forbidden not to have integrity after US convictions for conspiracy to commit money laundering associated with corrupt loans in the Republic of Mozambique.
On May 20, 2019, Ms Subeva admitted guilty to the US for her role in a conspiracy to commit money laundering, which included the acceptance and maintenance of US $ 200,000 by one of its co-conspirators in illegal implications.
In October 2021, FCA fined on Credit Suisse more than $ 145 million pounds, as part of a global settlement of $ 475 million for serious failure of the loan -related financial crime committee, which the Bank of Mo. Loans were infected by corruption. FCA has also secured Credit Suisse’s agreement to delete the $ 200 million debt due to the Mozambique Republic.
Ms Subeva, Andrew Pearse and Surjan Singh, were banned earlier in February 2025 after the US convictions. Mr Pearse was convicted of conspiracy for committing money laundering and wire fraud, while Mr Singh was convicted of conspiracy to commit money laundering. Together they received more than $ 50 million in kicks.
Steve Smart, joint executive director of the market for the FCA, said:
“Mrs Subeva admitted that she has received and maintained $ 200,000 in illegal kicks. There is no place in our markets for criminal behavior. We will continue to take action against those trying to benefit from our financial system. “
