The UK’s Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has issued a warning against an Aquis Exchange clone.
Clones are fraudulent entities that copy the details (name, address, license number, logo, etc.) of companies authorized by the FCA to try to convince people that their company is genuine.
Cloning company details
Scammers use the following details to trick people:
Name: aquis-exchange.com (Clone of FCA authorized company)
Email: service@aquis-exchange.com
Website: www.aquis-exchange.com
FCA Authorized Company Details
This is the genuine, authorized company the scammers claim to work for. It has nothing to do with the clone company.
The correct details are:
Company Name: Aquis Exchange PLC
Company Reference Number: 595785
Address: Floor 2
63 Queen Victoria Street
London, EC4N 4UA, UNITED KINGDOM
Phone: +4402035976330

Website: www.aquis.eu
If you deal with the clone company, you will not have access to the Financial Ombudsman Service if you have a complaint.
You also won’t be protected by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) if things go wrong. This means you are unlikely to get your money back if the company goes out of business.
