GC Exchange FZE (GCEX), the UAE arm of institutional FX and digital asset brokerage GCEX Group, has announced that it has appointed Saeed Al Darmaki as a non-executive director for the UAE region.
Saeed Al Darmaki brings a wealth of connections and significant digital asset industry experience to the region. His focus will be on driving growth for GCEX, which is licensed as a Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) by the Dubai Virtual Asset Regulatory Authority (VARA).
Saeed Al Darmaki is a prominent figure in the UAE blockchain and cryptocurrency industries. He is the CEO of Sheesha Finance and co-founder of the investment fund Alphabit. He began his career in traditional finance, working at the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA) for nine years and subsequently held a number of advisory and management roles, playing a key role in helping scale innovative businesses.
