Hargreaves Lansdown plc (HL) confirms that Penny James, Non-Executive Director of HL, has been appointed to the Board of QBE Insurance Group Limited as an Independent Non-Executive Director with effect from 1 January 2024.
Penny James has extensive experience in financial services with strong leadership skills, finance and risk expertise, strategic thinking and cultural alignment. She was previously Chief Financial Officer and then Managing Director of Direct Line Insurance Group plc.
Prior to this she held various roles including Chief Risk Officer and Group Finance Director at Prudential plc, Group CFO at Omega Insurance Holdings Limited and UK General Insurance CFO at Zurich Financial Services.
Ms James was previously a non-executive director of Admiral Group plc from 2015 to 2017.
