The Court of Eastern Courts of Hong Kong has sentenced Mr Lin Tai Fung and his son -in -law, Mr or Chun Nin, in 240 hours and 160 hours of Community service respectively after being sentenced to a criminal prosecution of the Capital Market Commission (SFC).

Lin and either had guilty of conspiracy offenses to commit false transactions in the PA Shun International Holdings Limited from April 9, 2017 to March 7, 2018.

According to the sentence, Deputy Judge Chu Chung Keung stressed that the offenses committed by Lin and were serious and the court had examined the conviction of the accused in terms of imprisonment. However, after taking into account all the lighter factors, the testing reports of the test official and the defendants of the defendants, the court decided to impose Community service orders on them.

The court also ordered Lin and or pay the SFC investigation costs.

SFC Executive Director Christopher Wilson said:

“A Community Service order is not an forgiving choice of condemnation, reports to offenders to perform unpaid work as a means of dealing with their misconduct, the penalties imposed in this case underlined the court’s constant attitude against market handling offenses.”
