Electronic trading major Interactive Brokers has released Beta Build 10.29 of the TWS platform. The improvements are to the portfolio performance profile and mutual fund exchange.
The Exchange Fund facility allows clients to exchange all or part of an eligible (long) mutual fund position into another fund from the same fund family. Funds must be traded in the same currency. Exchanging funds using the Exchange action can result in lower fees, less tax consequences (for funds of the same family) and also allows customers to complete this action in a single transaction instead of selling, waiting for the transaction to settle and then buy another fund.
- Portfolio performance profile
Updates to the portfolio performance profile feature have fixed recurring issues including:
- Performance data was being calculated incorrectly.
- The portfolio performance profile displayed inaccurate cash breakdown values.
The broker says it will continue to update and improve the performance profile feature in all relevant tools, including Your Portfolio, Options Strategy Lab, Strategy Development Tool and Options Chain.
Interactive Brokers regularly updates its TWS platform. Recent improvements include the addition of a Tax Loss Harvest tool.
