XTB UK, the FCA-licensed arm of Poland-based online broker XTB SA (WSE:XTB), has announced that it has appointed Kathleen Brooks, one of the retail investment industry’s best-regarded financial market research experts, as a Director Research.
Kathleen Brooks has almost 15 years’ experience working with some of the leading retail and investment firms in the City of London. Having started her career at BP, she worked in various departments including IT and Oil & Gas before eventually moving into the retail investment industry, working for some of the world’s leading brands including GAIN Capital, City Index and Forex .com .
Throughout her career, Kathleen’s expertise in financial market research and analysis has been featured in prominent global financial and business media such as the Financial Times and the Wall Street Journal. A regular on the broadcast circuit, she is a familiar face on global news networks including the BBC, Sky News and CNN International, where she shares her insights and provides analysis of market events. Kathleen has also authored two books, Kathleen Brooks on Forex (Wiley, 2013) and Currency Trading for Dummies (Wiley, 2015).
With XTB expanding its product portfolio with a focus on long-term investing, including 0 percent commission on public stocks and ETFs, Kathleen’s leadership of the research function will provide her client base with cutting-edge knowledge of the financial markets, as well as broader global economic, business and financial analysis to help clients better shape their investment strategy decisions.
