The London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) today announced a partnership with Anthropic, providing access to data licensed through LSEG products such as Workspace and Financial Analytics for Claude clients.
This will be available through Anthropic’s expanded Claude for Financial Services offering – launched today.
This is the latest milestone in LSEG’s AI strategy – LSEG Everywhere – which provides trusted licensed data to scale AI in financial services. LSEG’s unparalleled depth, breadth and quality of AI-enabled content and taxonomies include datasets spanning decades.
LSEG Everywhere includes MCP adoption and includes recent partnerships with enterprise AI applications and data platforms including Microsoft, Rogo, Snowflake and Databricks.
LSEG provides access to licensed data through its products, such as Workspace and Financial Analytics, so that customers can automate financial analysis. LSEG’s AI-ready content will be accessible through the MCP in a phased rollout, starting with LSEG Financial Analytics. Following this first release, LSEG will give Claude users access to more AI-ready licensed content, with initial features rolling out later this month and additional data categories to follow.
LSEG sets the standard for secure, scalable AI in financial services with its open, LLM-agnostic and infrastructure-oriented collaborative approach that enables workflow through open protocols such as MCP. This helps customers minimize cost and custom engineering and accelerate development times.
Through this partnership, LSEG and Anthropic are also integrating mutual lead generation processes. Claude for Financial Services customers can augment their existing data with licenses for LSEG’s premium Workspace solution. LSEG works with Workspace customers to ensure licensed enterprise access to Claude.
Ron Lefferts, Co-Head, Data & Analytics at LSEG, said:
“LSEG has a long-standing reputation for our open, collaborative approach and meeting our customers wherever their workflows take place. Secure enterprise AI applications like Claude and open standards like MCP expand opportunities for LSEG to build deep partnerships with customers.
“With Claude for Financial Services, our clients can now access LSEG’s unparalleled financial data and insights to enhance and scale agency AI directly into their workflows.”
Nicholas Lin, Head of Product, Financial Services at Anthropic, said:
“The combination of Claude’s intelligence with data and context delivers real value. With LSEG’s trusted data, Claude is able to summarize earnings calls, scan curation materials, trigger workflows and display instant buy signals – all with enterprise-grade controls.”
This collaboration is based on LSEG’s adoption of the Model Context Protocol (MCP), the open standard pioneered by Anthropic. LSEG’s MCP Server, live on the Claude MCP Partner Directory as of Monday, October 27, ensures secure, seamless access to LSEG’s AI-ready licensed content.
The Claude MCP Partner Directory provides Enterprise customers with a single point of access to a range of trusted partners and, through MCP, full interoperability with their own AI systems and other third-party applications.
