Oanda Japan Inc, a subsidiary of the Online Broker Oanda Corporation, plans to make two -factor authentication compulsory.
The change is scheduled for 2025 without any accurate date. The 2FA was allocated by the broker in May 2025, but has been proposed not compulsory.
The broker notes that there have recently been frequent cases of unauthorized access transactions and forgery due to the theft of customer information (identifiers, passwords, etc.) through phishing and malicious software.
If you have not activated two -factor authentication while connecting to my page, Oanda Japan is strongly recommended to do so as soon as possible, instead of waiting for compulsory application.
Google Authenticator is a free safety app available for smartphones. When connecting to my page, Oanda Laboratory or FXTRADE platform, you will need to enter a lump sum code created by this application in addition to the usual email address and password.
This prevents unauthorized access from third parties and enhances security when connecting to my page.
Keep in mind that this process is different from the two -stage verification for MT4 and MT5.
