
The liquidation organization of Equity OCC derivatives today announced the appointment of Stephen Luparello as president.
Mr Luparello will succeed Craig Donohue, who resigned to pursue another career opportunity.
Mr Luparello is a public director of the OCC Board of Directors, which is recently serving in the Compensation and Performance Committee (Chairman) and the Regulatory Committee (Chairman). He will serve as president for the rest of the Donohue term, which lasts until April 2026.
Luparello’s career in financial markets includes stints as Managing Director and General Adviser of the Acropolis Capital Market and Director of the US Trading & Markets Department of the US Capital Market Commission. In addition, he spent 16 years at the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (Finra), where he served in several higher regulatory roles, including the Vice -President.
Mr. Luparello commented on his appointment:
