Tony Gruebner, who has spent the past four years as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) at leading Australia-based Retail FX and CFDs broker Pepperstone, has announced that he is leaving the company.
Tony Gruebner joined Pepperstone in 2020 from Sportsbet, Australia’s leading sports betting site, where he had worked since 2011. Starting in commercial analysis, he became General Manager of Customer Operations for Sportsbet and later GM Analytics and GM Data Products. Sportsbet is a unit of London-listed Flutter Entertainment plc, formerly known as Paddy Power Betfair plc, created by the 2016 merger of Paddy Power plc and Betfair Group plc.
Tony posted the following note today on social media about his departure from Pepperstone:
My time at Pepperstone as CMO has come to an end. It was an amazing opportunity to lead an incredible team and play a part in transforming a great Australian financial brand into what it is today.
Some of the highlights included:
* Creation of an incredible YouTube channel, including the hugely popular show Trade Off, which is now produced in four different countries and three languages
* Some major sponsorships with the ATP Tour, Geelong Cats, Adelaide Strikers and South East Melbourne Phoenix
* Development and launch of the Pepperstone trading application
* Three major global brand campaigns with Saatchi & Saatchi NZ including the latest with John McEnroeAs I look to the future, I am excited to explore new opportunities and challenges.
