Futures brokerage and clearing firm RJ O’Brien & Associates (RJO) today announced the promotion of Amber Wright, Managing Director and Global Head of Fixed Income, to the additional role of Head of EMEA Sales.

Along with her current responsibilities for the firm’s rates initiatives worldwide, Wright has assumed sales leadership for the firm’s Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region.

Based in Dubai, after serving for several years from RJO’s London office, Wright oversees brokers and recruits new sales professionals for the firm’s London, Dubai and Paris offices. He reports to RJO President and Director of Sales, Daniel Staniford.

Wright began her career at RJO in July 2019 as Director, Global Sales and was appointed Senior Manager in early 2021. She was promoted to Executive Director, Global Head of Fixed Income and E-Commerce Sales in January 2022 and to Managing Director in July 2023 .

Prior to RJO, Wright spent two years at Capula Investment Management LLP, a global specialist fixed income hedge fund based in London which she joined to build a new systematic trading team, leading the development and execution of a trade with model-based and algorithmic execution capability.

She began her career at Barclays Investment Bank as a futures and options broker, developing a specialty in US equity fundamentals and relative value strategies.

Wright earned a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics from the University of Liverpool.
