Multi-asset investment specialist Saxo Bank has now migrated all applications to use the new Extended AssetTypes.
You are affected if any of the following apply:
- you know that you trade ETF, ETN, ETC, Funds or Rights instruments, but they have the AssetType “Stock” in the OpenAPI.
- Looking up the example instruments from the tables above returns the AssetType value listed in the “Current Asset Type Definition” section.
The definition of the new element type is present in all OpenAPI endpoints.
The biggest difference and benefit of switching to Extended AssetTypes will be noticed when searching for instruments. Limiting a search to just “Inventory” will result in a smaller search result. To get the old behavior (which we don’t expect you’ll want) your code should provide the full scope of the new AssetTypes.
