Multi-asset investment specialist Saxo Bank is planning a series of improvements to its platforms.
A new option closure report will be available in April, alerting clients to upcoming expirations (and possible option closures because of it). “Expire” signals will appear in different areas on the platform:
They will be clickable and will trigger the opening of the closing report, providing more details and implications four hours before the option expires:
- Margin impact (current/estimated)
- The allocation by maturity and underlying
- Estimated option expiration margin: The option’s estimated expiration margin requirement for all options that could be in the money
- Weight: Weight increases linearly during the closing risk period (two hours before the option expires) until it reaches 100%
- Current Option Expiration Margin = The option’s reserved expiration margin within the closing period, eg. Estimated OEM x weight
Other improvements concern the display of trading hours. Users can now choose whether to view an instrument’s trading hours in the exchange’s time zone (eg 9:30-16:00 EDT for US exchanges) or in their own local time zone (eg 13 :30 – 20:00 GMT if this is the customer’s local time zone).
Partners who subscribe to Factset and receive analytics on stocks and stock CFDs will see an improved Analytics page in April.
