SIX, through its subsidiary SIX SIS, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Korea Securities Depository (KSD) for cooperation in the area of ​​securities storage and settlement. The signing ceremony took place today in Zurich, Switzerland.

Under the terms of the MOU, SIX and KSD will cooperate in the field of securities warehousing and settlement to promote the prosperity of financial markets, promote cross-border investment and explore opportunities for joint development. The partnership also envisages a closer working relationship in the future, regular meetings and maintaining channels of communication to share information.

Javier Hernani, Head of Capital Market Services and Executive Member of SIX, said:

“The agreement is another step forward in expanding our reach in Asia, where we see business opportunities, explore new markets and build new relationships. Given our strong position in the global post-trade value chain, we believe this new partnership will enhance our shared value and growth potential.”

The scope of mutual cooperation includes areas such as mutual support for investment in the Korean and Swiss markets. It also includes the mutual exchange of operational and market information as well as improvement opportunities.
