The Bank of England issued the announcement amid problems caused by a global IT outage.
The issue has affected the work of financial companies, airlines, payment systems. The London Stock Exchange did not publish RNS announcements for several hours due to the IT issues.
The Bank of England said:
“We are closely monitoring the situation and continue to work with companies and other authorities. There is no impact on the Bank’s systems.”
