Trading Start Date Tuesday, October 1 CME Group will revise the CME Globex Message Efficiency Program to more effectively target messages that can negatively impact system performance, impair efficient market access, and create unnecessary infrastructure costs and processing for market participants.
The existing Schedule will remain in place until Monday 30 September and will be withdrawn when the revised Schedule is implemented on Tuesday 1 October.
As part of the revised Program, the following changes will be made:
- The message score will be calculated and applied for the entire CME Globex trading session relative to the current hours between 7:00 A.M. – 3:15 p.m. Central Time (CT)
- Instruments that were previously excluded and months back will be included and scored with a reduced weighting
To accommodate these changes, messaging tiers will be expanded.
To assist potentially affected firms on a T+1 basis after the close of trading on July 1, CME Group will notify the appropriate messaging contacts of any instances where product group benchmarks have been exceeded using the revised methodology grading of the Program.
