TradingView today introduced a new rate calculation type (LTP) for Renko, Kagi and Point and Figure (PnF) chart types.
In this mode, the box size is a percentage of the Last Traded Price (LTP) at the time the symbol is loaded. Once calculated, this frame size was rounded to the nearest minimum selection size and applied consistently across all lines.
The box size is then further rounded to ensure that it remains relatively constant as long as the value does not change dramatically, which helps reduce repainting.
For example, in the chart below, the entry rate is set to 1%. As AAPL’s last trading price is 209.07, 1% of that equals 2.0907, which is then rounded to 2.
To enable the “PercentageLTP” calculation function and change the percentage value, change the chart to Renko, Kagi or Point and Figure and open the chart settings.
TradingView recently added new chart layout patterns.
Now platform users can choose from more chart layout patterns to maximize customization of their analysis. There are 12 new ways to organize charts in a layout — to see them all, click the Choose Layout button in the top toolbar and get started.
Other recent improvements concern the Stock Screener, which now has improved indicators for in-depth analysis and stock selection. These additions include various performance indicators, capital and debt management metrics, a new growth indicator, and an additional security identifier.
