The trials are planned after the UK’s Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) charged nine people in connection with an unauthorized forex trading scheme promoted on social media.

On 11 July 2024, at a plea and pre-trial hearing at Southwark Crown Court, Holly Thompson, Biggs Chris, Jamie Clayton, Lauren Goodger, Rebecca Gormley, Yazmin Oukhellou and Scott Timlin each pleaded not guilty to 1 charge of issuing a financial order.

Emmanuel Nwanze pleaded not guilty to advising on the purchase and sale of contracts for difference (CFDs) while not authorized to do so and 1 count of unauthorized financial promotional communications.

Eva Zapico has not entered a plea at this time. A further hearing in her case has been set for September 26, 2024.

Due to court availability, trial dates have been set for 1 February 2027 and 15 March 2027 at Southwark Crown Court. These dates were the earliest the Court could accept this case.
