Virgin Money today announced the appointment of Lucinda Charles-Jones as an independent non-executive director of the company with effect from 22 January 2024.

Once the transition and handover period is complete, he will replace Darren Pope as Chairman of the Remuneration Committee effective March 1, 2024, subject to final regulatory approval.

Ms Charles-Jones is currently a non-executive director and chair of the remuneration committee at The Rank Group plc. She is also a non-executive director on the Business in the Community (BITC) board and chair of the BITC remuneration committee.

Darren Pope will remain on the board as a non-executive director.

Lucinda Charles-Jones said:

Lucinda Charles-Jones will also become a member of the Audit Committee, the Governance and Nomination Committee, the Risk Committee and the Remuneration Committee pending her chairmanship and will join the Board of Clydesdale Bank PLC from 22 January 2024.
