Webull Corporation (Nasdaq: Bull) announced today the appointment of Walter Bishop as an independent director of its Board of Directors, which is valid on June 8, 2025.

Mr Bishop will serve as a member of the Audit Committee, the Compensation Committee and the Committee on Corrections and Corporate Governance.

Mr Bishop brings extensive experience to the financial industry, playing senior leadership roles in Nordbanken US, Barclays and Deutsche Bank. Since 1997-2019, Mr Bishop has played several leadership roles in Deutsche Bank (NYSE: DB), including US CEO and the Chairman of the Board of Directors and the Audit Committee for the DB Trust Company Delaware.

Before joining Deutsche Bank, he served as a head of the Barclays Bank US, Deputy Director General and Chief Financial Officer of Nordbanken Us and as KPMG Peat Marwick’s control manager.

Specifically, Mr Bishop is a leading expert in compliance with regulations, independent financial controls and corporate governance. He currently serves as head of independent director and chairman of the Syntec Optics Holdings Audit Committee, Inc. (Nasdaq: Optx), manufacturer of custom optic and photon. He joined Syntec in November 2023 after merging with Omnilit Acquisition Corp., where he had served as a director since April 2023.

From April 2019 to December 2024, Mr. Bishop served as Director and Chairman of the Highline Management Inc., an alternative asset management company. In 2021 he acted as a senior adviser to Thunder Bridge Capital Acquisition II, who merged with Indie Semiconductor (Nasdaq: Indi).

Mr. Bishop holds business administration from the University of St. John and Bachelor’s in Public Accounting by Baruch College (Cuny).

This appointment extends the Webull Board of Directors to six members, two of which are independent.
